We have the opportunity to work with a new (to us) caterer - Nick's Catering and Events (https://nickscateringandevents.com/) and decided to introduce them through an open house. At this open house, we will also be showcasing some amazing vendor friends and doing a live styled shoot during the event. Whether you're a couple that is already scheduled to get married here or a person that is brand new to the farm, it's going to be a great opportunity to see the barn all dressed up for the styled shoot and meet some wonderful people. The best thing about this business is the great people we get to meet - both the clients, their families and friends but also all the vendors that we meet so combining them in one day is something special! Tickets are going fast and can be purchased here: https://www.durhamhillfarm.com/event-details/durham-hill-open-house

I just read this post about Durham Hill Farm’s first annual Open House and honestly it made me smile the way they describe the farm, the vendors, and the overall community vibe really makes it sound like a great day out for families, friends, and anyone who loves local produce and small businesses. I especially liked how they highlighted the variety of vendors and activities, because that’s the kind of thing that gives a real sense of what the event will feel like instead of just a basic invite. It also reminded me how tricky it can be to write about local events in a way that feels exciting and informative, since you want people to actually imagine being there instead…
